with live music by Hiroko Komiya (object sounds, voice, percussion)

– EARTH –
All life is born from the earth, and return to the earth.
Earth breath. It tells me that I am also a part of it.
I ask if my dance is also a part of Earth.
Earth replies me “ Yes sure. All is a part of the earth and all is dancing.”

Album Release -Oto no Yukue- by Hiroko Komiya / Chris H. Lynn

新アルバム -音の行方- by Hiroko Komiya / Chris H. Lynn

Album "Oto no Yukue" 音の行方 by Chris H. Lynn and Hiroko Komiya
(total 5 tracks, digital release, 2022)

Oto no Yukue -the destination of the sound- began in the spring of 2021 and finished mixing and composing in November of 2021. The process of extracting the instant sound of each land, exchanging like a sound letter, and creating new compositions from the explorations slowly took shape. The end result became a sketchbook-like album of sounds with seasonal changes, elements of nature, and some distant memories.

Oto no Yukue -

3.Ima no oto -今の音- (6m50s)
4.Winter proof -冬支度- (2m25s)
5.Then. and then… -そして、それから- (22m25s)

We are happy to announce the new publication: „Atsushi Takenouchi Jinen Butoh”.

This book is an effect of long lasting conversations between Atsushi Takenouchi and Alan Frank, who summarized them into the text you’ll be able to read soon.

The story behind this book is not free of bumps and difficulties. Just like the life of the artist to whom it is dedicated. This book is not as much about Atsushi, as it is Atsushi himself who lays bare his entire being as honestly as his performances do. It is an authentic record of his life, as well as a testament to many friendships that help to overcome life’s obstacles and test the very essence of humanity. This book is also an expression of gratitude from those who were meant to encounter Atsushi Takenouchi on their path.

We follow Atsushi’s personal life – meeting his family and friends, and entering the world of Butoh of the 1980s. This colorful narrative engages us immediately. We encounter an environment full of interesting characters and legendary figures that have imprinted subtle marks on the soul of this young man and confirmed the right choice of his direction in life.

What is Jinen Butoh? Find out for yourself!

Deep appreciation from Atsushi Takenouchi
This book is the result of Jinen Butoh. With my profound gratitude, I am returning it to all the people I have met and to Jinen – all beings of this Universe.
I would like to thank to Hiroko, with whom I live, for lifelong devotion and collaboration.
I was relying on Alan’s help – I am deeply grateful for the many years of our collaboration on this book as co-author.
My deepest heartfelt gratitude goes to publisher Anita, who supported me as if I were family.
I would like to express my appreciation for everything I have experienced so far.
    Atsushi

The book was published together with The National Institute of Music and Dance within “Publishing programme 2021” project.

- Invisible - recording/shooting project

- Invisible - new project has started with 3 musicians, 1 film artist, 1 dancer

It was the beginning of October, the air like end of summer welcomed us into the studio in the forest near countryside of Bologna. We are all excited about this new projects and collaboration. Made a lot of sound experiments, improvisations, recording poems, also compositions, including shooting film at site specific location around this area. After mixing and editing work, our first short film piece will be presented in the art festival in this Autumn. Thank you Paul and all the team. The details will be coming soon.

Music: Paul Michael Henry, Yuri Dini, Hiroko Komiya

Butoh: Atsushi Takenouchi

Film: Filippo Romano

The below is the poem i spoke in Japanese in one song.

Though it is still the draft, i just kept as note. It was like my personal soliloquies inspired by one Italian children song i learnt at one lunch break.

Let's see where we are going ahead. Soon more info will be confirmed!

MIENAI

poem(draft) by Hiroko Komiya

Today is coming to an end and disappearing into the white wave.

With reflection to the blue sky, it becomes an invisible shape.

The words you said shimmer in the light and shadow.

They become a transparent shape and melt in the deep sea.

Today is coming to an end and falling into the white wave.

Become an intangible light like a shapeless memory.

Everything disappears

Everything disappears

Everything disappears

Fading away

Fading away

Fading away

Today is wandering like a shadow in the white waves.

I'm groping for an afterglow in a distant memory.

Looking back, the time and scenery at that time

Everything disappears

Everything disappears

Everything disappears

Fading away

Fading away

Fading away

form of yoga and Noguchi gymnastics (Japanese gymnastics).

Ⅱ: Dance with the tree and embody the life of the tree with our body.

then their movements and shapes into dances.
We dance with the wind and become the wind.
We becomes a circulation of water, clouds, rain, rivers, and the sea.
Feel the flow of water in our body.

“Butoh” was born in the 1950s and 1960s. In the background of a strong era of freedom, reform and liberty art. Butoh released various movements and emotions that were born from within our body and made them dance. At that time,
Butoh was called a body revolution.
“Jinen Butoh”. It started by connecting the butoh to
the nature inside and outside of us.

" Rendezvous Cycles " by Chris H Lynn and Hiroko Komiya
Hiroko has started sound collaboration with US based artist Chris H Lynn / Framing sounds this spring 2021.
Chris is a moving image maker, sound artist, educator and curator. His digital images and Super 8 films explore the subtle rhythms of movement, light, and sound in urban and rural landscapes.
In this track, you can listen the sound of life magic of Brood X Cicada field recording by Chris with instrumental drones by Hiroko's Hungarian Citera. This periodical cicadas emerge only every 17years. Just during several weeks of life on the earth, they are born, make meeting, then finish their life and go back to the earth till next new birth.
Life and death and meeting. This beautiful rendezvous cycles are expressing the eternal transformation of life.

Soon more new tracks are coming!

Info on Chris H Lynn/ Framing sounds; here

I am appreciating for this new collaboration.

"ランデブーサイクル”(循環する出逢い)
Listen >
